Burnishers

Burnishers are an essential tool to get a good adhesion of your foil onto your glass shapes. 

There are 2 basic ones, the Fid and the Lathkin. The fid is a flat Teflon tool that gently smooths the foil onto the glass without damaging it.

A Lathkin is similar on one end, but has a pointy moon shaped curve on the other end. This tool is 'double duty' as it is also used in leading.
